<p>A method of controlling a drive of a recording medium according to one embodiment includes receiving data from a host, and writing the data to the recording medium. A difference in volume between the data at the time of being received from the host and the data at the time of being written to the recording medium is detected. An adjustment is made to at least one of a first transfer rate with the recording medium, and a second transfer rate with the host, based on the difference.</p> |
