A system and a method for preventing glare in a vehicle are provided to ensure bright visions all the time by preventing a glare prevention device from being unnecessarily operated during the day. A system(100) for preventing glare in a vehicle comprises a windshield polarization plate(20), a front side polarization sensor(40) and a polarization control unit(30). The windshield polarization plate is installed on a windshield such that polarized light passes through the windshield polarization plate in a direction determined by electrical signals. The front side polarization sensor detects light of headlights(71,72) of other vehicle that approaches from a front side. The polarization control unit controls a polarization direction of the windshield polarization plate when the light of headlights of other vehicle.
