PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for centering a die of a punching mechanism, which easily adjusts illuminating members, and irradiates the upper surfaces of respective die holders with the light of the illuminating members even when it is applied to the punching mechanism having a plurality of punch pins and dies arranged side by side thereon. SOLUTION: The device 40 for centering the die of the punching mechanism comprises: an observation member 70 which is arranged on the supporting base 44 of the centering device 40 and enables observation of the central holes 23a of the dies 23 and the punch pins 12; the illuminating members 80 for irradiating the upper surface 22a of the die holder 22 from diagonally above; and a reflecting member 57 for inputting the reflected light from the upper surface 22a of the die holder 22 into the observation member 70 by irradiating the upper surface 22a of the die holder 22 with light from the illuminating members 80, and by reflecting the reflected light from the upper surface 22a of the die holder 22 again to the upper surface 22a of the die holder 22, wherein the central holes 23a of the dies 23 and the punch pins 12 are observed with the observation member 70 by being illuminated with the reflected light from the upper surface 22a of the die holder 22.
