FIBER-OPENING APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITE YARN

A fiber-opening apparatus for producing a composite yarn is provided to obtain the excellent hand of a discontinuous fabric and the evenness of a continuous fabric, and to improve the weaving capacity and the deep-dyeable property, and to manufacture the light and diaphanous fabric. An electric voltage is applied from the outside of a hollow cylindrical electrode. A multi-filament enters into the electrode through an entrance of the hollow cylindrical electrode. The hollow cylindrical electrode applies the voltage to the multi-filament passing through the electrode, and opens the fabric by electrifying the multi-filament. An earth ring comprising a tip end and a back end has an inner diameter longer than an outer diameter of the exit of the electrode. The inner diameter of the tip end of the earth ring is 6-25 mm, and is longer than the inner diameter of the back end. The inner diameter of the back end of the earth ring is 5-24 mm. The distance from the tip end to the back end is 3-25 mm. The exit of the electrode is far from the tip end to the moving direction of the filament.
