PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the rotary electric machine and its method of manufacturing which can improve the assemblability of the rotary electric machine and productivity of shared use of parts, or the like, and can improve waterproofing properties of a lead wire deriving part. SOLUTION: Each of phase lead wire 12 and a sensor signal wire 14 is mutually lead, to the outside from a different part of a bracket 7; further, each phase lead wire 12, leading its point end part 16 from the outside of an opening part 17 provided in the bracket 7 to its inside, can be electrically connected to a stator winding 4 from the outside of the bracket 7, to be constituted in a manner such that the lead wire 12 is replaceable from outside the rotating electric machine. There are provided a stage that lead out the sensor signal wire 14 to the outside from inside the bracket 7, a stage that covers the inside of the bracket 7 with a frame 2 additionally fixing the bracket 7 and the frame 2, and a stage that introduces the tip end part 16 of each phase lead wire 12 from outside the opening part 17 of the bracket 7 to its inside, to make the tip end part 16 electrically connected to the stator winding 4 from outside the bracket 7.
