PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device enhanced in the stability of operation as a power supply, and improved in the use efficiency of a switching element. SOLUTION: The flyback-type switching power supply device turns on and off the switching element 106 connected to a primary winding of a transformer 104 in series thereto, and outputs a voltage generated at a secondary winding of the transformer by rectifying it by a diode 108. The power supply device includes a voltage generation means 230 which generates a voltage corresponding to a voltage/time product applied to the transformer, and a switching control means 250 which controls the turning-on/off of the switching element in accordance with the voltage generated at the voltage generation means.
