<p>The rotary encoder has two component assemblies, which are rotatably arranged about an axis (A) in relation to each other. The component assembly is so configured that the circuit is released by the occurrence of the voltage pulse. A voltage source is charged with a voltage. The circuit is separated from the voltage source after storing the position information in the non-volatile memory. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a rotary encoder.</p> |
