摘要 An LCD device is provided to reduce an initial transition time by ensuring a sufficient transition time without using a conventional boosting circuit. An LCD(Liquid Crystal display) device includes a display panel and drivers(26,28). The display panel includes an array substrate(14) having matrix typed pixel electrodes, opposite electrodes facing the pixel electrodes, and an OCB(Optically Compensated Bend) liquid crystal between the pixel and opposite electrodes. The drivers supply one pixel voltage of positive and negative polarity pixel voltage ranges based on a first reference voltage to the pixel electrodes, and one of positive and negative polarity opposite voltages based on a second reference voltage to the opposite electrodes. The drivers supply the positive opposite voltage to the opposite electrodes, pixel voltages except the highest voltage within the negative polarity pixel voltage range to the pixel electrodes, the negative opposite voltage to the opposite electrodes, and pixel voltages except the lowest voltage within the positive polarity pixel voltage range to the pixel electrodes.
