The part has an M-shaped profile with central branches (2a) that are separated from lateral braches (2b) by free spaces. The central branches define a groove (7) permitting engagement of the part around a flange ring carried by an elongated element i.e. post, before being fixed to another elongated element i.e. crossbar. The lateral branches permits fixation of the part with the crossbar. Stiffening flanges (F1, F2) are provided on flanks, where the flanks closely connect the central branches to the lateral branches. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an assembling part.
