The light unit has a frame (1) for arranging a number of LED arrangements (8, 9), where the frame is movable in a space direction. An optical element e.g. lens (5), is arranged at another frame (2), where the latter frame modularly surrounds the former frame and is movable in another space direction. The former frame is coupled with a movement of the latter frame at the movement of the latter frame. The frames are adjustable relative to each other by propelled mechanics. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting a light unit of a vehicle.
