PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an input signal specific state without depending on varying input signal levels or to reduce detection time of the specific state. SOLUTION: A signal state detection apparatus in the present invention has an unwanted signal erasing-target signal including main signals and unwanted signals, a correlation calculation means for calculating a value representing correlation levels with a pseudo-unwanted signal formed using an adaptive filter for erasing the unwanted signal from the unwanted signal erasing-target signal, a changing trend calculation means for calculating changing trend of the value representing the calculated correlation levels, a threshold variability means for varying a threshold according to level of a signal input into the correlation calculation means, and a state detection means for determining whether a first state or a second state based on the calculated changing trend and the varied threshold.
