PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the creep of an oriented porous PTFE highly. SOLUTION: This oriented porous polytetrafluoroethylene sheet has a thickness of≥0.5 mm and is so controlled as to have a porosity of 5-20%. The porosity is, for example, attained by the compaction treatment after orientation. The size of the sheet has, for example, a width of≥1 m and a length of≥1 m. A gasket is produced by cutting the sheet. In this gasket, a compressible section formed for adaptability is made from the oriented porous polytetrafluoroethylene of the porosity of 5-20%.
