<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device with which adequate capacitance of each pixel is reserved by suppressing lowering of the opening ratio even when each pixel is further downsized. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device (a liquid crystal display device 100) is equipped with: pixel transistors 52 arranged on intersections of signal lines 18 and gate lines 16; a low temperature polysilicon layer 14 including a first region 140a with active layers of the pixel transistors 52 formed thereon and a second region 140b other than the first region 140a; a transparent electrode 23 electrically connected to the low temperature polysilicon layer 14; and a transparent electrode 21 placed opposite to the transparent electrode 23; wherein a storage capacitor 53 comprises a recessed shape portion 14a of the low temperature polysilicon layer 14 and a capacitance electrode portion 16b of the gate line 16 placed opposite to the recessed shape portion 14a, and a storage capacitor 55 comprises the transparent electrode 21 and the transparent electrode 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
