摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a stopping distance by regenerative braking, while restraining reduction in travel stability, even when a driver leaves a seat during traveling. SOLUTION: When detecting the driver leaving the seat during traveling, the regenerative braking is applied, and is controlled so as to change strength of the regenerative braking in response to a vehicle state in that case. This control is performed by associating a load condition, a lifting height condition and a tilt angle condition in advance with strength of the regenerative braking. More concretely, the strength of the regenerative braking is weakened in the high lifting height more than the low lifting height as for the lifting height, and the strength of the regenerative braking is weakened on the horizontal forward inclined side more than the backward tilting side as for a tilt angle. Thus, the regenerating braking can be applied with the strength corresponding to the vehicle state, and reduction in the travel stability of a vehicle is restrained.
