PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attractive symbol combination game apparatus capable of maintaining interest without imposing a burden on a game player by specifying a winning state on display means. SOLUTION: The symbol combination game apparatus includes the display means 16 provided separately from a display window; a storage means for determining beforehand and storing a plurality of special symbol combinations different from symbol combinations appearing when lost by lottery means 20, out of symbol combinations appearing when draw-in by draw-in processing means cannot be performed although a prize is won by the lottery means 20; and display control means for displaying the winning state on the display means 16 when collating means determines coincidence as a result of collation, determines whether only one pattern is different when the collating means determines noncoincidence, displays the symbol combination on the display means 16 when one symbol is different, but does not display the symbols on the display means 16 when it is not one symbol difference.
