PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet bundle folding device capable of suitably forming a fold on a sheet bundle while restraining enlargement of the device. SOLUTION: In the sheet bundle folding device 10, each of a pair of folding rollers 12 is movable so that confronting surfaces can be approached or separated. A regulating member 28 is abutted to abutting surfaces 16a of a pair of folding roller supporting members 16 in the state that the sheet bundle is caught between the pair of the folding rollers 12, and thereby, a distance between the confronting surfaces of the pair of the folding rollers 12 is regulated so as not to be larger than a thickness of the sheet bundle fastened to eliminate a gap between the sheets. By reversely rotating the pair of the folding rollers 12 in the state where the distance between the confronting surfaces is regulated, the sheet bundle folding device 10 provides the fold on the sheet bundle caught between the pair of the folding rollers 12.
