An apparatus for alarming destinations in public transportation vehicles using a digital multimedia broadcasting scheme is provided to service position information of respective stations based on images and voice of display and audio units. An apparatus for alarming destinations in public transportation vehicles includes a controller, an input unit, a memory, a display unit, and an audio unit. The memory stores destination information which is inputted by users through the input unit. The controller receives position information from public vehicles. The controller determines whether or not the position information and the destination information are matched. When the position information and the destination information are matched, image information is displayed in the display unit and audio information is outputted from the audio unit.
