PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing anoxic copper wire and a copper alloy wire capable of obtaining a cast block of high quality without generating any porosity in the cast block, and having a large manufacturing yield when performing the continuous casting of anoxic copper and copper alloy by using a movable mold with high casting speed. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of an anoxic copper wire or a copper alloy wire, porosities in a cast block are eliminated by performing rolling-reduction of a portion before the cast block is finally solidified when performing the continuous casting of molten anoxic copper or molten copper alloy by using a belt-and-wheel type or twin-belt type movable mold.
