摘要 It is intended to provide a fluorescent detector which has a simple constitution and yet enables highly sensitive and highly accurate measurement of fluorescent intensity serving as a label by a technique of detecting a target nucleic acid sequence with the use of fluorescent detection using a hybridization reaction between a target DNA and a fluorescent labeled probe to cause a change in the fluorescent resonance energy transfer, i.e., a technique typified by the cycling probe method; a microchip, and a fluorescent detection system comprising the same. Namely, a fluorescent detector by which a target nucleic acid sequence is detected with the use of a hybridization reaction between a target DNA and a fluorescent labeled probe to cause a change in the fluorescent resonance energy transfer, characterized in that the detector has a light source of excitation light for fluorescent light emission and a section for detecting the fluorescence emitted by the excitation and a longer wavelength side part from the maximum emission wavelength of the emission spectrum of the excitation light at least partly overlaps with the emission spectrum of the fluorescence.
