<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purification method and apparatus which can effectively deodorize neutral malodorous gas, such as ethanol and methyl mercaptan. <P>SOLUTION: By the air purification method, a photocatalyst is irradiated with ultraviolet rays, and the concentration of ozone gas on the photocatalyst is adjusted to 0.05 ppm or more, and in such conditions, air to be treated is brought into contact with the ozone gas, and then with activated carbon. By the air purification apparatus, an ozone gas generator, a photocatalytic device 4, an ultraviolet generator 5, and an activated carbon device 6 are arranged from upstream to downstream of a passage A of the air to be treated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
