PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner capable of forming an image of high image quality, and also having excellent low temperature fixability, and to provide an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining an image of high quality, and also capable of fixing a toner image to the body to be transferred at low temperature. SOLUTION: Disclosed is an electrophotographic toner used for an image forming apparatus provided with a fixing means for fixing a toner image transferred from a photoreceptor to the body to be transferred, and in which the contact angle between the fixing means (sample stand 10) and a toner 20 in a melted state is 70 to 150°. Also disclosed is an image forming apparatus provided with a fixing means for fixing a toner image transferred from a photoreceptor to the body to be transferred, and using the above electrophotographic toner.
