PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanylphthalocyanine comprising chlorinated titanylphthalocyanine and an unsubstituted titanylphthalocyanine in a mass spectral intensity ratio in a specified range and suited as an electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The titanylphthalocyanine is one comprising chlorinated titanylphthalocyanine and an unsubstituted titanylphthalocyanine in a mass spectral intensity ratio in the range of 0.015-0.055, desirably having a chlorine content of 0.25-0.6%, and desirably having a particle diameter of 1μm or smaller. When used as an optoelectronic material, this exhibits an effect in realizing, especially, an improvement in a short and sharp decay in a light decay curve. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
