<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting device that employs a user interface in which a manager effectively gives comments about the settable functions of a device depending on the situation. <P>SOLUTION: A printing system 500 uses multi-function machines 111, 112, to output documents or images created in PC terminals 101, 102. For output, the printer driver 1 of the PC terminals 101, 102 displays on a monitor 87 a setting screen for setting each function of the multi-function machines 111, 112; the user can designate double-sided printing or color printing by settings on the setting screen. The PC terminals 101, 102 each have a comment receiving part 25 for receiving comments about setting items on the setting screen from a comment server 150, and a comment display part 21 for displaying the comments received by the comment receiving part 25 in a predetermined area of the setting screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
