摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and correctly detect an object moving around a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In a step S72, a conversion vector from which components produced by rotation of a camera in the turning direction of an own vehicle are removed is determined from components of a motion vector in a feature point chosen in a step S71. In a step S73, whether the motion vector be a moving vector of a moving object or a generated object is detected by comparing the direction and magnitude of the conversion vector to a theoretical background vector at the same feature point. In a step S75, whether an object within an ROI be a moving object or a stationary object is determined based on the results of classification of the motion vector within the ROI.
