PRINTING SYSTEM AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a map on which an index useful for a user to get from a present spot to a destination is appropriately displayed.

SOLUTION: A server comprises: a map data storage part for storing map data for respective regions in a plurality of patterns composed of different scales; a corresponding information storage part for storing the respective scales and regions made to correspond to the installation region information of respective composite machines; a control part for reading the scale and region corresponding to the installation region information transmitted from each composite machine from the corresponding information storage part and reading the map data of the scale and region from the map data storage part; and a communication part for transmitting the read map data to the composite machine which has transmitted the installation region information. Each composite machine comprises: an apparatus intrinsic information storage part for storing the installation region information of the apparatus; a data transmission/reception part for transmitting the installation region information to the server and receiving the map data corresponding to the installation region information from the server; and a printing part for printing the received map data.
