PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass fiber cord imparting excellent water resistance and heat resistance suitable for transmission belts, when a rubber-reinforcing glass fiber having a coated layer, obtained by applying a coating liquid to a glass fiber and then drying the coated material, is embedded in a heat-resistant rubber (HNBR) to form the transmission belt. SOLUTION: The coating liquid for glass fiber coating contains an aqueous solution of chlorophenol-formaldehyde condensation product obtained by carrying out condensation reaction of chlorophenol with formaldehyde in water, an emulsion of a vinylpyridine-styrene-butadiene copolymer, and an emulsion of chlorosulfonated polyethylene.
