PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize the constitution of unidirectionally pressing a stage, so as to prevent a backlash, in a hand shake correcting device for a camera. SOLUTION: The hand shake correcting device for the camera is equipped with: moving stages 17 and 18 on which an imaging element or a lens is mounted and which are moved along the guide shafts 28 and 29 of an X-direction and along the guide shafts 30 and 31 of a Y-direction orthogonal to the X-direction; voice coil motors (magnets 8, 9, 12 and 13, yokes 10, 11, 14 and 15 and coils 19, 20, 21, and 22) driving the moving stages 17 and 18 in the-X direction and in the Y-direction respectively; and a magnetic body 23 which is provided in the moving stage 18 and receives the influence of the magnetic force of the voice coil motors. Concretely, the moving stage 18 is provided with the coils 19, 20, 21 and 22 of the voice coil motors and the magnetic body 23 in the vicinity of the coils 19, 20, 21 and 22.
