A motorcycle electronic key system comprising a controller (14) mounted in an actual vehicle, and a portable transmitter-receiver (12) to be carried around by the user, wherein the actual vehicle (100A) has an openable/closable seat (108) to be taken by the user, with a start switch (70) installed in the seat (108) for starting the controller (14).
