<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device superior in the stability of drive speed, wherein sine-wave drive enabling reduction in torque ripples, vibrations, and noise during driving of a motor is realized efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The motor driving device includes: a waveform generator that generates a waveform signal for driving a motor with a sine wave; an inverter that applies driving voltage, based on the waveform signal to drive winding; and an advance angle setter for setting an advance angle of driving voltage relative to induced voltage in the drive winding. The advance angle setter is so constructed that multiple advance angles can be set. Any one advance angle value is selected and set from among the multiple advance angle values so that the phase of a sinusoidal driving current passed through the drive winding substantially agrees with the phase of the induced voltage in the drive winding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
