摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compounding agent for rubber which generates only a small amount of alcohol during kneading of a silica-added rubber composition and can improve properties such as low exotherm and impact resilience of the resulting silica-added vulcanizable rubber composition. SOLUTION: The compounding agent for rubber comprises an organosilicon compound which is represented by average composition formula (1), wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>each represent a 1-4C monovalent hydrocarbon group, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>each represent a 1-15C divalent hydrocarbon group, m represents a positive number of 1-4 on average, n represents a positive number of 2-4 on average, q represents a positive number of 0-3, u represents 0 or 1, and p and r represent 0, 1 or 2, with the proviso that p and r are not 0 at the same time, and in which the amount of alcohol generated when the compound is hydrolyzed in a 10 mass% KOH-butanol solution is 49 mass% or less based on the average molecular weight.
