An LCD device is provided to drive all gate lines to discharge pixels charged into an LCD panel quickly, thereby solving an afterimage on a display surface. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device comprises an LCD panel(2), a data driver(4), and a gate driver(6). The LCD panel has m gate lines. The gate driver drives the m gate lines and includes N gate ICs(Integrated Circuits)(N is a natural number more than two). The gate driver drives the N gate ICs simultaneously to discharge the m gate lines when power is off. Each of the N gate ICs drives m/N gate lines. A timing controller(8) generates a control signal for driving the N gate ICs simultaneously when power is off. |
