The method involves triggering an analog-to-digital converter in such a manner that an analog-to-digital conversion is implemented in one half wave of an analog alternating signal, which is assigned as a pickup signal (P). Sample values are produced in another half wave of the alternating signal, which is in an opposite direction to the former half wave. A regulating voltage for regulating a gyroscope sensor is determined using the sample values, where the analog-to-digital conversion takes place in a fixed phase relationship to the pickup signal. An independent claim is also included for a gyroscope sensor.
