An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a driving method thereof are provided to enhance charge characteristic of pixel cells by driving gate lines, which are connected to the pixel cells for displaying data signals as images, during a frame. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes first and second pixel cells and a gate driver(GD). The first pixel cells receive data signals of a current period and display images under different polarity conditions of data signals supplied to data lines during first previous and first current periods. The second pixel cells receive the data signals of the current period and display images under the same polarity conditions of data signals supplied to the data lines during second previous and second current periods. The gate driver drives at least two times gate lines connected to the first pixel cells and drives one time gate lines connected to the second pixel cells.
