A surface light emitting structure for uniform light of high luminance is provided to install a transparent plate in the outside of a discharge space and apply fluorescent substance to the transparent plate, thereby preventing deterioration of light emitting efficiency generated when the fluorescent substance is reacted with mercury. A light source body(40) comprises upper and lower plates(60,80), and has a discharge space(50) where discharge gas is injected between the upper and lower plates. The light source body emits light by discharge of the discharge gas. A transparent plate(20) is disposed to be parallel to the light source body. In one side of the transparent plate, a fluorescent substance(10) emitting light by light emitted from the light source body is applied. |
