<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method and a developing device capable of achieving excellent picture quality with high resolution and preventing the occurrence of irregular density in a solid portion. <P>SOLUTION: An electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor 23 is developed by a developing roller 107, the photoreceptor 23, a spacer 144 provided on the developing roller 107, and a voltage applying means applying a voltage to the gap g formed by the spacer 144 between the developing roller 107 and the photoreceptor 23, with a nonmagnetic single component toner having an average particle diameter of ≥2.5 μm to ≤3.2 μm and containing particles in the size of ≥3.46 μm to ≤5.04 μm by ≥5% to ≤10% in number and particles having the size of 5.49 μm or more by ≤1% in number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
