A method for recovering the service forwarding route includes: during the route learning process that the primary link is recovered from the fault state to the normal state, the service-forwarding route in the backup link is restrained from changing; establish the label distribution protocol session in the primary link; the service forwarding route in the backup link is redirected to the primary link, after the label distribution protocol session in the primary link is established successfully. The invention also includes a system for recovering the service-forwarding route. The invention avoids no available LSP bearing the service during the service forwarding route-recovering process, and the influence to the service bearing transmission is reduced.
