An apparatus for treating remaining cooling water of a back-up roll is provided to prevent temperature non-uniformity of a rolled material and to preclude deformation of a sheet of the rolled material by preventing the residual coolant on the back-up roll from dropping on the sheet. An apparatus for treating remaining cooling water of a back-up roll comprises driving units(30), and a coolant enclosure unit. The driving units are placed near the upper part of a back-up roll(10). The coolant enclosure unit, which is connected to the lower part of the driving unit and in contact with a surface of the back-up roll longitudinally, is rotated along with the back-up roll and surrounds residual coolant on the back-up roll like a dam. The coolant enclosure unit includes first and second connection units(50,70), and a coolant enclosure roll. The first connection unit is connected to the second connection unit. The second connection unit has a spring(78) and an elastic moving block(76).
