A display device is provided to block infrared rays generated from a lamp, thereby preventing a malfunction of a remote controller in a peripheral device. A lamp includes a fluorescent body(210) for generating the visible rays and an infrared block(220) intercepts the infrared rays. A display panel displays an image by means of the light beam generated from the lamp. The infrared interception agent includes any one of ATO(Antimony Tin Oxide) and ITO(Indium Tin Oxide). The infrared interception agent of 1 percent-30 percent compared to the fluorescent body is included to the display apparatus. The fluorescent lamp and the infrared rays are formed to the inside of the lamp simultaneously. A diffusion plate is arranged between the lamp and the display panel. At least one optical sheet is arranged between the diffusion plate and the display panel. A reflection sheet is opposite to the diffusion plate by interposing the lamp.
