<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out control so that power consumption by a network camera connected to PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) does not exceed the amount of power that can be supplied from the PSE. <P>SOLUTION: The total power consumption managed by a relevant network camera is checked (Step S301) before another network camera 103 on a network is inquired of whether or not a specific amount of power consumption is available. Further, it is determined whether or not operation is feasible (Step S302).
