PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development which excels in fixability and blocking resistance and emits little foul odor by an emulsion polymerization aggregation method. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing the toner for electrostatic charge image development including a radical polymerization process, a weight ratio (T/M) of a chain transfer agent to a monomer used at the radical polymerization process is≤0.0047, a weight ratio (I/M) of a polymerization initiator to the monomer is≤0.095, and a weight average molecular weight of a polymer obtained at the radical polymerization process is≤160,000.
