<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport amount equalization means with a simple configuration at low cost, capable of more effectively preventing variations in the axial transport amount due to manufacturing errors, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The equalization means comprises a developing roller 52 comprising a developing sleeve 521 for carrying and transporting a dual-component developer on its surface formed in a freely rotatable manner, and a magnet roll 522 installed fixedly inside the developing sleeve 521; and a layer thickness regulating member 54, whose end faces the surface of the developing sleeve 521 for regulating the dual-component developer carried and transported by the developing sleeve 521 to a predetermined layer thickness. On the surface of the developing sleeve 521, a transport amount equalizing means is formed, which equalizes the transport amount of the dual-component developer in the axial direction, after the dual-component developer has passed the layer thickness regulating member 54, by making the force to carry and transport the dual-component developer in the axial center region 521c weaker than the force in the region 521e at both the axial ends. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
