A system for controlling access to a file server is disclosed. The system for controlling access to a file server includes a management server, a plurality of client terminals for communicating with the management server, and a file server for storing one or more documents shared by the plurality of client terminals. Each of the client terminals includes a file server access module for verifying a user, and a security explorer tool driving module for output ting one or more documents stored in the file server. The management server includes an authorized user information database for storing authentication information, a user verification module for checking user information and searching for authentication information, and a document classification module for searching the file server for documents within the authorization limits based on the user, and transmitting the found documents to the security explorer tool driving module, thereby restricting documents depending on the users.
