<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly determine an adjusting amount for keeping a subjective quality as an image on the basis of feature quantity of the frame image, which is different from a processing target pictorial image contained in the image. <P>SOLUTION: A pictorial image adjusting amount determining device 10 is equipped with a processing pictorial image determining means 101 which receives input image signals that have been externally input and comprise a plurality of frame pictorial images, and then decomposes the input image signals into the plurality of the frame pictorial images to determine, from the plurality of the frame pictorial images and based on a given criterion, a processing target pictorial image that acts as a target for pictorial image processing and one or more adjacent pictorial images located adjacent to the processing target pictorial image in a display order, a pictorial image feature extracting means 102 for extracting a given feature quantity about the adjacent pictorial images determined, and a pictorial image adjusting amount determining means 104 for determining an adjusting amount of at least either one of an amplitude and bandwidth of each spatial frequency component regarding the processing target pictorial image determined above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
