PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data relay apparatus capable of relaying data communication between a first network and a second network in which the structures of data to be communicated are mutually different. SOLUTION: Inherent identifiers are respectively allocated to transmitting data and receiving data to be transmitted/received in a GW unit 10. A data conversion part 13 respectively determines conversion processing using receiving data for generating each transmitting data in each transmitting data identified by the identifier and collectively stores respective conversion processing contents in a conversion processing table. Thereby, the data conversion part 13 can generate required transmitting data by selecting necessary conversion processing from the conversion processing table and executing the selected conversion processing on the basis of the identifier of the transmitting data to be transmitted. Even when addition/change is generated in a transmitting data generating method, the data conversion part 13 can correspond to the addition/change only by adding/changing the corresponding conversion processing in the conversion processing table.
