An apparatus for eliminating harmful insects by using waste heat in a refrigerator is provided to exterminate vermin effectively by evaporating a liquid mosquito repellent or a pesticide. An apparatus for eliminating harmful insects by using waste heat in a refrigerator comprises a pesticide storage tank(100), a pesticide supply control part, and a pesticide evaporating container(150). The pesticide supply control part supplies a pesticide stored in the pesticide storage tank according to the required amount. The pesticide evaporating container, which is installed at the upper part of components constituting a refrigeration cycle, receives the pesticide supplied by the pesticide supply control part. The pesticide supply control part consists of a function selection switch(SW) for selecting functions of vermin or mosquito extermination, a timer(210) outputting a control signal when the time set by a user is up, a supply pipe(230) installed at the pesticide storage tank, valves(240) placed at the supply pipe, and a control part(220). The control part controls opening and closing operation of the valves by the control signal output from the timer and a selection signal of the function selection switch. |
