<p>The method involves calculating an acceleration information signal (S5) of a motor vehicle from a speed information signal (S2) of the vehicle. A total acceleration signal (S3) corresponding to a longitudinal projection information signal (S1) of total acceleration is filtered and synchronized to deliver a total synchronized acceleration information signal (S4). The signals (S4, S5) are compared, and a comparison information signal (S6) is delivered. A longitudinal acceleration information signal (S7) of the vehicle is delivered by comparing the signals (S1, S6). An independent claim is also included for a device for estimating longitudinal acceleration of a motor vehicle.</p> |
