A golf club head is provided to be suitable for an official game and to enable a user to obtain a larger amount of spinning of a ball. A golf club head includes a face plane(10) and plural minute grooves(30). The plural minute grooves are formed on the face plane by a milling process. Plural score line grooves(20) are formed on the face plane. The pitch(P) of the plural minute grooves in an arrangement direction of the minute grooves is 300 mum <= P <= 600 mum. The surface roughness of the part of the face plane on which the minute grooves are formed is 15 mum <= Ry <= 0.005 x P + 15.7 mum based on the largest height(Ry). The pitch(P) is 400 mum <= P <= 500 mum. The minute grooves form the shape of arc lines.
