SEMICONDUCTOR MEMORY SYSTEM AND MEMORY MODULE

A semiconductor memory system and a memory module are provided to perform point-to-point communication without loss of band-width, in order to expand capacity of the same. A semiconductor memory system comprises a memory controller, N data buses connected to the memory controller, and M memory slots connected to the memory controller through at least one of the data buses. A first memory slot is connected to the memory controller through N/M first data buses(11-1-11-K). A second memory slot is connected to the memory controller through N/M second data buses(21-1-21-K). The first memory slot and the second memory slot are connected through N/M third data buses(31-1-31-K).
