PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of shortening a warming up time, also avoiding defective fixation, and achieving power saving. SOLUTION: The fixing device 1 includes: a sleeve-like rotatable heating member 72; a heat source 77 disposed in the heating member 72; a pressure member 73 that is brought in press contact with the heating member 72 so as to form a nip to let a sheet S through in order to heat/pressurize the sheet S, that is rotationally driven; and a pressure receiving member 74 disposed in contact with the heating member 72 at the inside of the heating member 72 so as to receive the pressure of the pressure member 73 at the nip. A reinforcing member 76 for accepting the pressure of the pressure member 73 is disposed in contact with the pressure receiving member 74 inside the heating member 72 so as to be positioned on the inner side of the pressure receiving member 74, the reinforcing member 76 is constituted by combining a plurality of plates, and the member 76 is brought in contact with the pressure receiving member 74 by using the end part of each plate as a foot part.
