PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication karaoke system for rapidly and securely distributing new karaoke data. SOLUTION: On the basis of a terminal group management table including specific information of each karaoke terminal, a belonging terminal group, and representative karaoke terminal specific information of each group, the karaoke host device distributes the new karaoke data to each representative karaoke terminal, and specifies it as a parent terminal. On the basis of error history which is received from the karaoke terminal, the karaoke host device determines the propriety of, the karaoke terminal as the parent terminal, and if affirmative, specifies it as the parent terminal, receives an inquiry on the propriety of the other karaoke terminal as a child terminal, from the parent terminal, and performs determination based on the group management table, and returns it to the parent terminal. The karaoke terminal receives the new karaoke data, stores them, and transmits a reception notification and the error history to the karaoke host device. When the karaoke terminal is specified as the parent terminal, it sequentially communicates with the karaoke terminals within own group. If there is any karaoke terminal which does not receive the new karaoke data, it inquires its propriety as the child terminal to the host device, and if affirmative, the new karaoke data are transmitted to the child terminal.
